othing is permanent. If you pause for too long, you’ll miss it.

There is no foreground and no background. There is nothing to leave and no destination. Therefore no transition. Nothing superfluous. Nothing insignificant or unworthy of your attention.

The Zen view in architecture is a window placed in a hallway or stairwell in which the glorious spectacle is visible only in passing. You can’t stand there and take it in for as long as you’d like. It’s in sight and then it’s gone.

Like an entire lifetime. There in a moment.
