Your stillness

Your stillness

“We can make our minds so like still water that beings gather about us that they may see, it may be, their own images, and so live for a moment with a clearer, perhaps even with a fiercer life because of our quiet.”
—William Butler Yeats

W

hen you cease to cling or push, others can feel safe to simply be.

They don’t have to be wary of your conditional agendas.

Your stillness provides a safe space for them to go further than they ever thought possible,

which is difficult to do if they’re treading on the eggshells of your disappointment and rage,

created by your bottomless need,

that can be filled by your stillness.

In lovingkindness,
