—Marie Beynon Ray

T

he voices in our heads love to hyper-focus on the details of life to assist us in losing sight of the whole. “Thanks, voices…” They will obsess over unknowns, fret about dislikes, cling to wants and keep us busy in the weeds. So I’ll complain about how my partner is incompatible with me, get mad that I am inconvenienced, and pick apart what others are doing. Yet I’ll say that I want love, that I want ease, or that I want connection. But what am I doing to facilitate these results?

If I were to get sober to my actions, I’d discover that I’m actually engaged in the opposite! I’m not choosing love, ease, or connection.

How is this possible?

Again, the voices like to drill down into what doesn’t matter and go OCD over it. Meanwhile, the star is sparkling and the snowflake is melting…

Will you use the moment before it’s too late?

In lovingkindness,
