What if the Voice inside your head was REAL?!

The Intimate Relationship!

S

elf-hate is a pernicious beast.

It’s cloaked in language like “self-sabotage,” “beating myself up,” and “being my own worst enemy.”

It’s steeped in being ‘me.’

“I think these thoughts, feel these feelings, and take these actions.

I’m doing this to myself.

So, therefore, it must be ME.”

But if you were to look closely, self-hate is done TO you.

You wake up in the morning with this nastiness downloaded INTO you.

Fear, dread, worry, upset, dissatisfaction, hopelessness, depression, angst, anxiety, overwhelm, stories…

If, however, I was to spend some time with you, we would get to the heart of you—a really good person who wants to do well.

You don’t want any of this crap.

I would argue that you want the opposite.

You want to be free of it all!

So, given this information, what are you to do?

Well, the first step is to acknowledge that this is happening and that you aren’t doing this to yourself.

In fact, it would be more accurate to say:

  • You are being sabotaged.
  • You are being beaten up.
  • And self-hate is your worst enemy.

Make no mistake: Self-hate truly hates you.

It wants nothing but the worst for you.

And if you were to try to free yourself of it, it would discourage you, frighten you, and do everything possible to get you to quit.

It would resort to the same tactics it uses to get you all the time:

Fear, dread, worry, upset, dissatisfaction, hopelessness, depression, angst, anxiety, overwhelm, stories…

The way out?

A process called Awareness Practice.

Revealing the truth, shining the light, and experientially shifting.

Not “thinking” your way out (as so many people are attempting to do these days), but rather SEEING your way out.

I have a 30-day program that walks you through this process step by step.

In the meantime, here’s one of the first cartoons I drew at the Zen monastery that illustrates how self-hate works. Feel free to download it.
